UH Office of Sustainability

http://sustainable-uh.hawaii.edu/index.php?section=3&island=7&article=42

This website has information on all types of sustainability and helps to organize the research and actions taken to help be more sustainable.

Who:

There are many people working together in different groups for the UH's sustainability effort. The director of the UH's office of sustainability- Dr. Bruce Miller, is credited to help pass a bill banning CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) in Hawaii, the first in the Nation. He has worked for many years promoting sustainability. I think he is very credible.

What:

The site is a ".edu". The purpose of the site is to organize environmental cleanup efforts, to help people become more environmentally aware through classes at the UH, and helping people do more sustainable things in day to day life.

Where:

The people who do the research are the students, therefore there is no works cited. Also, there are not very many links because the site is mainly used to help people apply sustainable acts in mundane life.

When: Unknown dates, but info implies updated regularly.
Why:

I chose this site because first off it is in Hawaii, so it can better match our environmental situations locally. Second, it is a reliable collage which takes sustainability seriously, and tries to help our Islands to be a better place. It will help students get in tune with sustainability, and learn how they can help.
