Monthly meetings are typically held on the second Friday of the month at 11:30 am at the President's Pavilion. All parents, guardians of current students, faculty and staff are invited to attend and a complimentary light lunch is served. RSVPs are not necessary for these luncheon meetings.

Carol Halbur will give us the inside story on the speech and debate program and how these activities yield big payoffs for their participants in multiple ways.

October 9, 2009
A sustainability panel featuring members of the faculty and administration will update us on all of Punahou's sustainability initiatives as well as what you can do at home, too.

November 13, 2009
Eileen McCool, kindergarten through sixth grade counselor and Pam Robles, 5th grade teacher will share their experiences and results with implementing social and emotional learning in the daily curriculum. Eileen will discuss her sabbatical work which focused on social and emotional learning and its impact on changing a school climate. Pam will take the audience through a "morning meeting" experience, which she piloted along with Eileen in her fifth grade classroom in the 2008 - 2009 school year.

Jessica Flannery, the 2010 Chapel/Luke Center Spirit/Service Speaker is featured. A social entrepreneur whose mission work took her to rural Africa, Jessica felt compelled to address the need to connect the world's poor with willing lenders. This led her to co-found the online microloan organization, kiva.org.
