Thursday, October 28, 2010: Halloween Bake Sale/Cupcake Bar
The Arts & Crafts/Bake committee is hosting a bake sale on Oct 28 Halloween treats, so pre-heat your ovens and get ready to bake up a few bat-ches of bewitching goodies. Cookies and other snacks or treats with Halloween designs or packaging, bagged in single portions, will help with our ghoul of getting into the spirit of things!

All goodies may be dropped off in front of the PFA on Thursday, October 28 from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m.

Advance donations of frosting, Halloween sprinkles, gummies and decors, plastic knives, and small paper plates are most welcome! To volunteer with baking or to provide donations, please contact Lisa Dowd at lisadowd@hawaii.rr.com or at 554-2909 for more information.

Friday, December 3, 2010: Arts & Craft Bake Sale
The elves are also busy getting ready for the December 3rd Arts & Crafts Bake Sale, so we are seeking donations of the following items. Christmas colors and themes, garden motifs, as well as Punahou colors are desired:

- Baskets for jam duos
- Ribbon & ties
- Tissue paper
- Cardstock
- Decor
- Rubber bands (to secure jar toppers)
- Stickers
- Acrylic paint
- Mod Podge or acrylic sealer/clear coat
- Paintbrushes (small & medium, for craft painting)
- Fabric, felt, and buttons
- Address labels for printer (Avery 5260 - 30 labels/sheet, 3 X10)
- Bento containers
- Mason jars, quart size, new (clean & unused)
- Flour, Oatmeal, Chocolate Chips, Sugar (white and brown), Raisins, Dried Cranberries, Salt, Baking Soda

Ticket Sale dates: Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 3 to 6 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office in the back of the Sullivan Administration Building on these dates and also on Nov. 2 and 3, same times. Reserved seating $15 adults, $8 students with ID and seniors (65 and older).

The PFA Family Resources Committee brings you another exciting Parent Ed Fair offering excellent parent education workshops of interest for parents of children in grades K through 12.

Registration for the Parent Education Fair closed Oct. 15, 2010. You should have received a confirmation from the PFA Parent Enrichment Commitee so plesae check your inbox.

You may register now for the Parent Ed Fair to be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at Case Middle School. Click on the "Parent Ed Fair" tab on ePunahou. Information about the topic and speakers can be found at each session description. Registration forms will also be available in the PFA Office.

Scroll down to the Oct. 23 entry for more information about the Fair. Spaces are limited for the sessions; the registration deadline is Friday, October 15.

Friday, October 15, 2010, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sullivan Lanai in front of the PFA office.

On sale will be a variety of Halloween decorations and costumes. Also to give you a head start on the holidays, we will have gift bags, Christmas decorations, gift items, jewelry and craft items. Come early for the best selection because everything is priced to sell Hungry for a snack, there will be spam and chicken musubis on sale. All proceeds will benefit Carnival 2011.

Saturday, October 9, 2010, 5 to 8 p.m. at Aiea Bowl. Punahou Alumni Association (PAA) is partnering with the PFA for their 3rd Annual "Night out with the Pinheads". There is a 2pm Punahou versus Damien football game at the Stadium, - so come after the game and join Alumni and current Punahou families for a fun night of bowling!

Location: 99-115 Aiea Heights Drive, #310

Cost: $25 for adults, $15 for youth (12 and younger). Includes food, shoes and lanes. Please bring socks. No-host bar.

Prizes: Best bowling attire, best score, worst score, most gutter balls and more!
