Donations of Baked Goods are Needed for the Carnival 2012 Halloween Sale (October 14)
Make a batch of your favorite brownies, cupcakes, cookies, banana bread, chex mix, mochi, or other special family treat. Halloween-themed goodies would be FRIGHTfully super and Caramel Cuts are always a SHOCKing hit! Our hard-working parent volunteers will be in front of the PFA Lanai (Sullivan) to accept your donations from 7 to 8:30 AM on Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14. Thursday, October 28, 2010: Halloween Bake Sale/Cupcake Bar
The Arts & Crafts/Bake committee is hosting a bake sale on Oct 28 Halloween treats, so pre-heat your ovens and get ready to bake up a few bat-ches of bewitching goodies. Cookies and other snacks or treats with Halloween designs or packaging, bagged in single portions, will help with our ghoul of getting into the spirit of things!
All goodies may be dropped off in front of the PFA on Thursday, October 28 from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m.
Advance donations of frosting, Halloween sprinkles, gummies and decors, plastic knives, and small paper plates are most welcome! To volunteer with baking or to provide donations, please contact Lisa Dowd at lisadowd@hawaii.rr.com or at 554-2909 for more information.

"The White Elle Boutique" presents brand new items, plus an array of gently used Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving decorations, table top, small appliances, fine china and glassware...AND very special Christmas decorations from White Elephant Tankettes. Plus new and gently used Christmas ornaments, craft supplies, wrapping paper and bags. Proceeds go to support Carnival 2010!
Plus the Specialities Division of Carnival will display "trick or treat" baskets that can be preordered. These whimsical baskets are filled with tootsie pops that have been creatively designed as spiders, jack o'lanterns and ghosts. Also choose from mummified candy containers or Jack o' Lantern boxes filled with a variety of options including fruit snacks, goldfish cracker/chex mix, chocolate pretzels or cheese balls. Each package will supply enough treats for a class of 25 (or it can be customized to add additional items). Prices will start at $20. Pick up will be on Oct. 29 or 30th at the PFA office. June/July 2009: The soon-to-be Juniors (class of 2011) needs fruits. Fruit is in season and preparations for the summer Jam Sessions are just around the corner and your help is needed! Carnival 2010 needs Green Mangoes, Strawberry Guava, Yellow Guava, Poha Berries and Surinam Cheeries. If tou have or know of anyone that may have these fruits or access to these fruits, please let us know. Picked fruits can be dropped off at the PFA Office on Thursday or Fridays or members of the class of 2011 can even come pick the fruits. Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 6:30 beginning in Dillingham. All Junior and Sophomore parents who are booth chairs, and all Junior student booth chairs are required to attend this final Carnival Planning meeting. Key information will be shared, as well as time for booths to meet together for final planning.
The meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 pm in Dillingham. Divisions will break up to finalize plans. Divisions will meet as follows:
- Administrative Division - Cornuelle Auditorium in the Science Center
- Food Division - Main Dining Room of Dole Cafeteria
- Skills Division - stay in Dillingham
- Specialties Division - Senior Dining Room of Dole Cafeteria
- White Elephant - Dillingham workshop

Tuesday, October 23, 1997 from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon at the Kuaihelani Creative Learning Center (Case Middle School). All Grade K and Grade 1 parents are welcomed to bring their brown bag lunch and come to an informal talk story session on "Supporting Your Keiki and Enjoying the Journey."
Space is limited, so please call the Kokua Line at 943-3250 or email kokualine@punahou.edu When you RSVP, you can also send any questions or concerns you'd like the speakers to address.
The session will begin with some remarks by Eileen McCool (K-6 Counselor), Kathye Barbosa (Punahou parent), Rebecca Kesler (grade K teacher) and Luana Yee (Gr 1 teacher). This will be followed by small group discussions on key topics such as: developing resilient keiki, scheduling activities & downtime, importance of daily routines, health & nutrition and being a Punahou parent.
