Day 5 We had a late start in the morning, after breakfast and being lazy for an hour or two we headed to the Dunes to play. It was a fifteen minute ride or so, on the way we stopped at this “lookout” spot to look at the fishing boats. At the lookout we went down to the water and saw shells all over the beach and we also saw a family cleaning out sea stars. We stayed for awhile then we kept going to the dunes. As soon as we got out of the car at the dunes we were surrounded by kids asking us to slide down the sand on their plastic sheets. It took us a while to get up to the actual dunes and the whole way we had an entourage of kids. The kids asked the same few questions tons of times, some of my answers were “I’m from space.”, and “I’m 100 yrs old” because they did not understand the answers to their questions and they asked them repeatedly. Anyway when we got to the dunes we spread out a tad but kids kept talking and asking questions, we slid down the slopes; we were sweating, and sweating. When we got back down the dunes we were followed by the kids. I was covered in sand literally but don’t worry everyone else had barely any sand on them compared to me. I had several layers of sand on my hands and forearms. After the dunes we stopped in for a soda and handed out some more stuffed animals to the kids who had traveled with us up and down the dunes. Things got a little out of control as the kids became more and more demanding until Mr. Dang said it was time to go. When we got back at the hotel it was POOL time, we cruised in the pool for a couple of hours until lunch. We had lunch back at the same place that we had dinner the night before. Lunch was good and after we had free time. All the guys eventually played pool and I have no clue what the girls did (Ms Prock said they checked their email and walked on the beach), we had several hours of free time before we headed into town for dinner. In town we shopped for a few things but only several of us bought something, we had dinner in a quiet diner which was good. We shopped more but got nothing, we headed back to the resort to get some R&R. And it will be back to Saigon tomorrow… Fizz | ||
